Here are some before and after pictures of the return springs. I have marked with arrows of what was being touched and what I think needs to be done to fix the problem. Where the springs attach to the bolt... If the bolt was longer, then I could move the springs further out away from the carburetor and they wouldn't touch anything. That would solve the problem. I also couldn't find a spot on the intake to attach a bracket to attach the springs to. SO, attaching the springs forward of the throttle lever doesn't seem plausible at this point because I cant find a spot for a bracket. Unless somebody can show me where to attach them to?!?!?! I also want to thank everybody for their help with this. Seeing your the pictures you guys have posted has been great. So, really thanx! One picture is of what it looks like with just the one spring and what I have done to the car, I took off the big spring so that nothing is touching, but just barely!!!! Just barely... and the other picture is of what it was originally and some typing and arrow editing of how I think what can be done to fix the whole problem in the first place. So, all the help I can get please guys!
