Thank you for replying to me! I am eyeing a 1966 Chevy II Nova SS that was reportedly assemble at GM's production plant in Oshawa, Ontario. It was built with the L79 engine option which has reportedly registered with the Canadian L79 Registry. The registry number is 0110. I would like to get a hold of all of the information included with this registry number (0110).
As a follow up to my request for the OEM spiral shock paint color, I found what I believe is it. I found the Blue/Gray paint from Quanta sold through GasTanks.com to be exactly what i've seen in manvy photos of authentic restoration 66/67 Nova's. I just finished the repaint and the color looks great. Just thought you might be interested.
I was able to link up with Frank Burns. He will look the wagon over for me. He knew the owner that sold it to the current owner, and said it is a very solid car. I really appreciate your help. Hopefully things will work out and I will finally get my wagon.
I put out a call for anyone in the Vancouver area and have received no replies. Do you know of any car guys in the area that might be interested in looking at the wagon for me? I checked, and I can fly from here to Seattle, round trip, for $323.00 Of course I would need to rent a car and drive to Vancouver, and probably stay overnight at least one night. I would like someone to just look over the car. I'm not looking for an expert, just someone who can appreciate a quality build when they see one. Maybe someone who is familiar with paint. The car is supposed to have been taken down to bare metal and repainted. I'm looking for any signs of over spray, or short cuts taken. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to pay $200.00 dollars (US). I can be contacted by phone @ 563-340-5957 or by e-mail @ [email protected] My name is Dale Gilmour. Thanks!
There is a '67 Acadian wagon for sale in Burnaby, BC. It is white. I will try to provide the link. It is advertised in Hemmings. If you are familiar with it, would you let me know your opinion of the car? The pictures look good. If you don't know the car, would you be willing to do a paid inspection of the car? I will try the link: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/chevrolet/nova/2045698.html Thanks!
Not sure if you saw my post regarding the correct factory routing of exhaust for my 1967 Nova SS with the 283 motor. Lots like the dual exhaust currently installed terminate just being the rear wheels. Is that the correct routing.
