Hey nice project. As far as the rott on the window area,maybe find a donor and remove this section. I had to do both sides on my 65. Both sides also needed some repair to the area under this..

Knowing that, and seeing the cracked windshield pillar.....did you check the car to see if its twisted?

Measure the front. At the bottom of the upper spring cup down to the bottom of the spring mount area. Use the exact points on both sides. Yer pass side front spring may be pushing it up. If you get a variation in measurements push down that high side the ammount of difference and see if that levels it out. If they are the same. Do the same in the rear. Right at the spring mounts or close to them. Two solid points that you can compare to rule out the springs. If the springs are settled equally from side to side you may have a twist in the body. at Novasrus probably has that, PLUS any other parts you may need that can be cut from a first or second gen Nova.

 

I am going to try to save as much of the blue paint as possible, a buffing will do just fine.

Donor parts will probably be option number 1, and i will measure the sag on the weekend and see if i can find anything. Thanks guys

 

The fire wall looks like it had the crap beat out of it. Looks like some floor patches too, it probably sagged. Where the rots at in the channel i wouldnt worry too much because its covered by the windshield rubber. It might be where there was mud, or lead from the factory and that cracked.

 

i think i will just fill the cracked area with 3M weatherstrip adhesive to ensure no leaks. We beat the firewall because os some damage it has received prior, looks like the car was kept in a dry climate for the most part.

 

Was the car square and level when you welded in the new crossmember? Seems like you should already know what the problem was and corrected it before welding in the front clip.

 

its a bolt on front clip (TCI). i didnt not know if there was going to be any problems pertaining to the frame until this point, the car was \on its nose when i went to go look at it. I am not a frame guy so i don't know much but once the car can move under its own power i will drive it to a frame shop just in case.

Its a learning experience for me, from finding bad deals to dropping a new distributor in.

We were going to try to make the camaro manifolds work but headers seemed the best way to go. i will get some pics of those homemade headers when we make them.

Get a camaro pan it fits like a glove no clearance issues.:yes::yes:

 

but its soo much easier to cut and weld than pay 200 for a pan and pickup. rather use that money to buy tubing and a saw to make the headers.

Is he really gay??!?!??! The IRS was neat but it didnt do it for me. I would rather have a car I could drive and not have to spend a month on the bottom side of the car after a 20min drive.

Great cam for a boosted car. You do know that it has no hit at all. But it will flat bring a LS motor to life. I keep hoping to find one cheap real cheap.

DIY trans cross member for the 4L65, stock drive shaft had to get shortened 2 1/4":

Interior with AC Half Installed. just need to do the wiring and the plumbing.

The condenser wont work with the Summit Aluminum radiator w/ Rich's brackets. Something will have to get made up with that. Next up is the pluming for the fuel system(fittings are complete) we need to bend the steel line up now.

2" was cut from the truck pan. and it is now 6-1/4 tall compared to and F bodys 5" maybe a skid plate is in order.

Keep in mind that this is and 02 engine with its stock Denso compressor and brackets(which had to get cut down a bit so that it wont interfere with the motor mounts. i will still go ahead and get some pics.

CW clip,02 F-body LS1.The pan has s slight slope to it but closest point os around 5/8.The passenger side head to firewall closest point is around 5/8 also.Didnt measure from the block but should be close to head measurement,I can check after I eat dinner..lol

We have color!

I picked it out of a chip book, not a bad choice. its a 1994 GMC Dark Forest Green in Waterborne made by RM. We painted it with a cheap little harbor freight detail gun. Added new gm badges instead of the original stickers, i think it looks better.

Nice project! I'm building a 67 at the moment as well. I'm still in the process of looking for my LSX transplant. Are you going to run a stock 4L80?

 

yeah stock and rebuilt 4L65-E:devil: came with brand new torque converter- $500 yeah it was a deal. I just realized i need to take more pics of the progress.

Hooked up the throtle linkage using the stock pedal but with a 6 cyl. arm. Made a bracket to hold the linkage near the firewall using one of the fuel rail bolts.

The only thing holding us back is mounting the condenser and pluming the fuel system.

I Think i am the only person trying to use hard line instead of braided line, ive got 4 fittings for each line: Quick Disconnect#3/8 and 5/16 with a -6 end, a swivel adapter with -6 female to male 3/8 to the compression nut.:bored:
If only i could get those quick disconnect with a 3/8 end

The deciding factor was that i am not about to shell out 100 bucks every 5 or 6 years for fuel line. Worse comes to worse and the leak no matter what, then i will suck it up and buy the braided line. Fuel lines flared and routed:
