I have heard that the cable operation stuff can give you trouble over time. I have never run one personally, however.

 

With the right exhaust system there is no need for cut outs IMO. Are you just looking for noise or....?

 

im looking for more noise, but also better horsepower and fuel economy..i currently have a flowmasters system

 

well according to flowmaster they claim their mufflers are as good as open exhaust. I believe you will not gain anything with cutouts, other than gaining attention of local law enforcement.


BTW what size exhaust you have now? tailpipes? headers? tell us more about the motor.

I have the QTP electric version with no problems. Dont know about horse power gains or fuel savings but when a dude pulls up with a Harley or a little Honda ricer... Im ready:devil::devil::devil:

 

id like to be able to hear my cam a little better too...i dont really have to worry about johnny law, im a volunteer firefighter n they ussually are easy on us.. once i put these on, do i have to worry about back pressure? ive been told i have to tune my engine a certain way...

 

imo those ones are no good the pull string will break eventually i would get the qucktimes ones or the doug thorley ones both are electric and wont leak
