1964 Chevy ll 4 door...I was looking at Eatons spring website and they offer new mono and multi leaf springs with a 1 to 2 inch lift over stock height. The disclaimer at the bottom of the order form says
The springs you ordered raise the ride height from factory specs, not from where the vehicle now sits. Altering the ride height may change the suspension geometry which may cause the springs to be more difficult to install. Springs that alter vehicle ride height are not returnable.
How does this increased heigfht make it more difficult to install the springs ? Thanks

There will be more arch to the spring when unloaded and that will likely bring the eyelets closer together. When you go to install them they probably will be a little shot the reach from the forward mount to the shackle. You’ll have to load the spring in some way to get it to stretch out enough to reach the shackle. You can use a jack or clamps and a 2x4 to flatten out the spring to install it.
