Hi,

Loong time since ive been in here since last - got a 70' nova 2-door since last time, i'm a danish nova lover :D

I've have had a 68, a 69 and now a 70' nova which i want to build a death proof nova of.

I just have a few questions you guys might have the answer for:

- What are the wheels called on the death proof nova?
- Where should i get the best (quality) duck and the best skull decal from?
- What engine was used in the death proof car?

Any good paper, links, information about the death proof car is more than welcome

Here's some pics of my car:

Thanks

Thanks guys, I'll keep you posted with pictures :)...

I've found a 63-64 corvette 350, should have 365 hp - for about 1000$ and I think thats fair enough, it's running great and should be death proof enough, can't really find any information about what engine is used in the movie and I'm guessing a lot of different was used :).

I love the duck  169 seems fair enough, when I had my 69 4door it was death proof-ish and I remember at that time looking at buying the duck and it was like 300-350 bucks at that time..

Where do you guys buy Nova parts? ss396, summit, jegs?

Do it right! go all the way, no half build stuff, black interior, roll cage, plexiglass windows, no passenger seat, homemade paintjob, raised rear so the leafs are visible from the side.. also have a bottle of jack D in the glovebox

Denmark RULES! jeg så din gamle 4 dørs til salg sidste år, det klæder absolut ikke en sedan at være dekoreret med skull emblemet :) men din nye er kraftedeme fed

Hey - en dansker ! :)

I'm gonna a fully built death proof nova this time, but i'm a bit in doubt with the plexiglass stuff seperating driver and passenger, i don't wanna scare the girls (so much) :D

There is a passenger seat, its just very crappy in the death proof nova, a little piece of metal or something.. But it could be soooo cool to do it exactly as in the movie..

I could do it 100% and also change my name to Kurt and grow semi-long hair

Neej jeg har haft en 68'er 4 dørs (blå) og matsort 69'er 4 dørs og har nu endelig fundet den her 70'er 2dørs der ikke er svejst i og er sund og rask, perfekt til projektet :D

Update

Hi again..

We pulled all the interior out yesterday and what a nice surprise to look under the carpet. It looks like the floor is original and it is in perfect shape. :D :D

Only place with a little surface rust is under the dash but the car is so rustfree that i can't believe it :)

Great idea! Im actually doing the Death Proof nova build as well. Ive done a bit of research on it. In the movie it was a "69 Nova that was made to look like a "70. I dont know offhand the engine size but in movie prop sites the pics looked like a small block. The duck ornament was from the movie Convoy and Ive seen them online for no less than $150. The rims were stock rally rims you can get the skull and crossbolt decal most any size and color online for less than $45. Im not doing a true to the film build bc its my DD so the outside will be movie correct but the interior will be all comfort.
