Ok so a lot of people tell me that a nova is expensive since chevy didn't make a lot. But they also tell me that the straight six on my 76 nova should stay there and not be replaced. Why is that? Whats so good about them?

economy, ease of maintenance, ease of finding parts (for the most part)

they don't reproduce a lot of 4th genner parts, not like they do for '62-'74 but the car isn't rare. you can find stuff with a little searching.

it's all up to you and your driving style. i hang with a lot of California guys and a lot of 'em have sixers in their rides. there's Nothing wrong with havin' a sixer.

What do you expect from your car? Is it a daily driver? Or do you just drive it on special occasions?

GM produced the inline 6 for many years and they are pretty reliable.

I run the inline 6 in my 68 because that is what originally came in the car.

It definitely is not as powerful as a V8, but I get a lot of positive feedback at car events.
