Rear end ID

I just picked up a 5 lug 10 bolt rear end to put in my 63. I figure I should go ahead and replace the seals and bearings and inspect the axles while it's out of the car. Can someone decode the part number on the housing:

look on the pass side axle tube for a set of STAMPED letters and numbers, they are usually on the front of the tube, will maybe have to use a steel brush to find them

Thanks Fatcat. These are the numbers I listed in the first post: 3894859. Your right about needing the wire brush. The rear end came out of a 62, obviously not stock, so I am not sure what year rear end I have. Pretty sure it is an 8.2 10 bolt. Want to be sure before I start ordering parts.

you're looking for a two letter combo, with the first letter most likely being a B or D, that will tell what the rear is
