manual, reverse foward valve body how can i tell?

what do these term refer to and how can i tell what my trans is>?
its a th350 but i dunno the shift pattern..i want to put in a floor shifter but i cant choose one becaus i dont know

Is the trans in the car now? If it has a vacuum modulator on the passenger side at the pan rail, it is a std P R N D 2 1 Forward pattern trans. Reverse pattern is only for manual valve bodies that you have to shift your self.
