What are the benifts of removing this and do you feel a difference while cruisin on the streets. Does it feel like the car wants to flip on its side? Been thinking bout removing mine.

dont have one, no the car dosen't feel like its going to flip, mine sits low, but then again im not trying to autocroos, you can feel it sway going around cornes but you you have evern driven a stock height jeepthen if feels about the same. the front is way looser, and when it leaves it does leave kinda twisted at the axle, you know what i mean its not the car but the suspension that is twisting, it helps my car do 1.88 sixty foot on some kelly springfeild street tires.

My car came from the factory with no bars at all. I added big Addco's front and rear when it was a daily driver that I drove in the mountains a lot. It made a huge difference. When I got more serious about only going in a straight line, I removed them and it hasn't been an issue. I go around corners like a maniac, even with skinnies and slicks!

on my 71 the car had only a front sway bar and when i removed it i noticed no difference on the street, but that was with small tires in front and 275's in back. this was an 11.60 car. i never noticed much difference with hooking up, too many changes in between track visits. this car ended up expiring after flipping over and stopping against a tree.

my 72 came with the F41 suspension package and that thing handled TONS better than the 71 car. that's front and rear sway bars if you're wondering. took it to the track but it was never a quick car. i never drove that car without the sway bars though. it had 235's in front, 245's in back. this car sat lower than the 71, which probably helped in the handling department. sold it a few years ago.

my 69 car has never had a sway bar. it should run 10.80's when i get it dialed in, hopefully low 9's on the motor. it handles better than the 71 car, but sits much much lower. if the car didn't suck so much gas i'd drive it every day.

hope that helps.

My 69 also felt like a bus and my front tires rubbed when making tight turns.
Car never came with a sway bar and still has the stock 6 cyl springs.
I added a Suspension Techniques 1 1/4 sway bar and it feels like its on rails now.
Perfect urban street machine add on! and mountain roads are a blast.

I drive my car like a psycho on the street, and with no sway bars, 5" of front end travel, 90/10 shocks, 4" front tires and 275 radials on the back it handles better than my 97 Tahoe daily driver. I change lanes dipping in and out of traffic cruising at 55 and it never ever feels like a boat.

benefit from taking the front out.....less weight. Mine rides no different without it.
A lot of people put one in back and they work good, without your launch will twist up the front left of the car alot of times (some cars really bad) unloading the rear left is possible....you see a lot of cars pulling one wheel. A good rear sway bar/anti-roll in back will even it out and lift the front end more evenly helping with traction also (evenly) so its not only the right rear doing the most digging.

Yeh my olds i took mine off and it would lean over when you made a sharp turn but! the advantage with out it is great when racing hell have you ever picked up a sway bar there heavy as hell! I to ran adjustable shocks and no bar transfer nicely. but wasnt that bad with out it on the streets as long as your not doing any corner carving lol!
