The complete floor pan with all the bracing is now reproduced. It's the best way to do it. But it's more work to spot weld at factory seams than just lap welding in sections, which is still a solid repair for a driver quality car.

Don't do it in sections, buy the whole floor with braces if possible. Take your time, use good tools and go slow..
