Hey guys, Well I think its time i did something with my front bumper. The guy i bought it from fiberglassed it because he didn't like the way the original looked. What I'd like to know is what is the next step. I know i have to sand it and paint it but i would like to know in more detailed steps of what i have to do. What grain sand paper to use? Painting procedure... Stuff like that.

Thanks in advance - Blake :)

Greetings,

I have to ask...Do you like the way it looks? If so...Start sanding away and you might need some more resin and material to smooth out some of the lines. The goal is to get it uniform across the whole area.

Out of curiosity is that bondo or fiberglass? If its bondo then I wouldn't dare putting more effort into that thing unless you use it as a mold.

If thats fiberglass your working with right now it looks like it will need some work to get even close to smooth. You'll probably want to start with something fairly coarse. I wouldn't be afraid to start at it with 80 until you get the high spots levelled down. From there you'd probably want to hit it with 120.
