Greetings all! I have a 1972 Nova with 350 cid engine rated at 165 hp and 8.5:1 compression ratio. What would a normal compression test pressure be for this engine? Currently it is testing (hot) at 130 psi average on all cylinders. Mileage on engine is unknown and I see no indications that it has been rebuilt. Thanks in advance.

When you did testing was all plugs removed? Throttle blades blocked open? Good battery current to starter? Having consistent reading on each cylinder is a good sign. 130 may be little low but not bad, in my opinion.
