check the brand and then go to manufacturers website for specifications...
they may differ from brand to brand.

 

Generally you should run a minimum pressure in them so they don't get damaged. IF my memory is correct (its been about 30 years!) I think you are supposed to run a minimum of about 15PSI, max was either 90 PSI or 150PSI depending on brand. Like I said, its been 30 years since I had air shocks, so follow Johnny's recomendation and go to the manufactures website.

Thanks for the answers guys. I'm not sure what the brand is...I don't see any markings on them. The 90 PSI MAX sounds familiar though. I'm about 60 right now.

 

hey man i was wondering i want the noob way to put in air in my air shocks on 1972 chevy nova ss 307 v8 cowl duction hood im new to pumping air in air shocks i dont want no drill or anything dad are ready lifted them down i just want fast way to pump them up

 

 

or you could do what I did when I bought a 63 with air shocks in the back...throw them in the garbage where they belong....since I don't have a 1 ton truck
