I am wanting bucket seats for my 75 Nova. Will ANY other GM bucket seat swap into it, (i.e. camaro, impala, whatever) since Nova ones seem so hard to find? I mean sit in and bolt, correct tracks n all. Thanks for the help. Brian

Hi Brian,

If your 75 had a bench seat from the factory, there aren't any bucket seats (not even original Nova buckets) that will be a direct bolt-in swap. That's because the factory bucket seat Novas had some special mounting adpaters welded to the floor pan.

Since you'll have to make some mounting adapters anyway, you can use bucket seats from most any car. If you want something relatively factory looking, I believe 2nd gen Camaro/Firebird seats are pretty similar in style to the original Nova buckets.

Ray,

Thats waht I wanted to know. My car has/had some kind of buckets in it when I got it, but they were only attached to one corner on front and one on back. Kinda looking for an original style, may try to track down some 2nd gen Camaro/firebird seats or I may go with a set of the Procar/Scat rally seats and buy the tracks for my Nova.

Thanks for the info. Brian

If you can find a set on Chevy Monza seats, they will work, but you will have to make adapter brackets for the back legs. I've got Camaro buckets in mine now, but I used the Monza seats. You may be wondering why we went with Monza seats in the first place. There were two reasons. Got the set for $40 and they matched the factory style and color of the backseats

Hey guys,

Sorry to hijack this thread. I am working on putting a set of 1997 Bonneville seats into my 1976 Nova that had a bench. It appears that I'm going to need to space the inside mounts of both tracks up about 3" because the outside is raised up from the factory for the bench. I was thinking about cutting a couple blocks of 3x3" square tubing for the legs to sit on. Would this be a viable solution? Open to any suggestions.

Thanks,
Collin
