need some help here. i am putting in a 250 to replace a 194, the car orginally had a 3 on the tree and i like it so much that i am going to leave it. my problem is that i cannot find where to put the ball stud for the end of the z bar on the block. the 194 had a place for the bolt but the 250 does not. what to do now help. thanks jim

Do you have a chevy2 block?
If not you have to use a bracket to put a tapped hole in the correct place.

Chevy2's clutch forks are not at 3:00 like other chevys.

Might be able to put you in touch with someone for a bracket if you need one.

I'm not sure about the 250...My 230 had one factory....I had to buy a bracket for my 327...If you have two 1/2" threaded holes above the oil filter about 5 inches apart horazontly you can purchase the bracket from classic industries..I have my 230 in my car port...I'll take a photo of it tomorrow...The tech guys can help too....Also try Chevy 2's only....

hey clyde62, thanks for the info. i went to your website and saw the bracket and i know that is what i need. i went to chevy II but their bracket is just a t shaped piece of metal. if you can will you let me know where to get one like yours. thanks a lot. longroof:yes:
