Hey guys,

I had a pretty cool Friday. Today was my employer's Sports Day/Picnic, and they had asked me to coordinate a car-show for the members and their families and guests. Due to short notice, we only got a bout 12 folks who signed-up for the car-show, and what better way to get paid a day's labor wage than talking cars, detailing our cars, and drinking beer????:yes::yes:

I had pleasant surprise when the 3 volunteer judges picked my car over a 1967 G.T.O....I did not have a placard on my vehicle, but I did show just for the love of the sport, and it got picked, but I bowed out since I was the organizer, but still, it felt great!

In one of the many conversations I had with several folks there in the car-show area, the question came up about production numbers and what not on Acadian vehicles, and while moiling it over, I thought that if there is an organization who has the answer it has to be GM or GM Of Canada. I mean, they should know the vin# for the last produced Acadian, right?...they should know exactly what was the total production, que no??

What do you think?

Also, whatever happened to the registry efforts?

And just to answer a question Oldguy71 Acadian asked me before and I didn't answer...........After 67 nothing really mattered so why would I keep info on that stuff ......like a 71 Acadain???

Just Kidding. After 67.................. Acadian 's were imported and my no.s aren't as detailed. LOL

Would GM or GM of Canada know which vin# was last produced?

Gerry check with George Zapora with Vintage Vehicle Services, GM of Canada Limited, call 905-440-7644 or Email: [email protected]

Or log on to the VVS website here:

http://www.vintagevehicleservices.com/

You could log on to the Canadian Poncho site and send a personal message (pm) to 68SD (Fred), who is the stats guru on all things Acadian; or while on Poncho check the Acadian Registry while you are there, there ar some more stats there.

:eek::eek::eek: I noticed that ya got a 71 Acadian.......I was just kidding ya know???:eek::D:D:rolleyes:

Here's what I got but I only have to 1970 though...I do have 71 Nova though??

1968
71327-1799units
71369-2546 units
71427-691 units
71469-361units

total 5397 1968 Acadian

1969
71327-2615 units
71369-2267 units
71427-1091 units
71469-380 units

total 6353 units 1969 Acadians

1970
71327-3172 units
71369-2462 units
71427-1282 units
71469-501 units

total 7417 units 1970 Acadians

And that's all I got on the 3rd gen Acadians. I am kinda mad at myself that I don't have any more about the 3rd Gens. Might have been a different book and since I ran GM's photocopier out of paper twice, I figured I didn't want to where out my welcome.:D:rolleyes::cool:

Thanks a lot brotha!:mad::mad::mad: You're cut'ing me deep:(:(:(
just kidding too :p:p:p;);):D

Thanks for the info. wouldn't you guys would want to know how far or early to the end of the line or beginning of production your cars were?

Another curious thing would be that when looking at 1970's Acadian production and considering that the 71 year only ran for half of the year, then numbers for total 1971 Acadian production are likely to be below 4,000 units.:yes: makes sense?

Dude ya added a [not] to my sentence.......I do have the 71 Canadian Novas imported numbers just not the 1971 Acadian imported numbers.

There were......
11327-3524 units
11369-2954 units
11427-1877 units
11469-548 units

total 1971 Novas imported 8903 units.

1970 novas-13852 units
1969 novas-11865 units
1968 novas-8848 units

Anyone with a 62-67 Canadian built Nova, I have the start and finish serial numbers for. And well pretty well anything built in Canada in those years.

I've been hoping to get an Email from 68SD(I beleive) so I can see if he has these documents. It's about sharing and helping.

Ok but just to check my info. did they tell ya there were 12535 units built in 67? or did they say 13783 units which includes Exports and CKD's??? The last serial number was 7381771112535 June 27/67.
There were 768 units called X9 and 480units X9 with out engines.
An interesting thing is that there were more V8's built than 6cyl.s

I do like passing on this info. Don't want to bore anyone.
