I have a 71' NOVA originaly equiped with a 307 and a/c. I would like to put my 454 in the car, but i am unsure if the rat will clear the factory a/c box.
I noticed all the pics of BBC NOVA's that I have found are heater cars. Anyone have any insite on this swap?

I moved your thread to the third gen forum, because it is not an originality question. If you look at the "My Nova" link in my signature, you sould be aboe to find your way to some pics I have of third gen A/C Novas with a big block in them. A big block better fit in a 72 with factory air, because that is what I have planned for mine!!!

Never done it, but this topic was gone over some years ago, here is what I remember.
It will work, it is a very tight fit but will work. It is an easier fit if you take the suitcase off a Camaro, I think. The Nova suitcase is at angle towards the engine whereas the Camaro, or whatever it was, is straight out from the firewall.
