Will a 66 license plate lamp fit a 63

Chevy 2 Only lists a lamp for 62-65 and a different one for 66-72. However when you look at them, they appear to be very close to the same size, so you might be able to make it work, it just wouldn't be correct for the year.

yeah I saw that. They look very similar, Just wondering if they will interchange.

I realize this is an older thread, but they dont fit. I ordered one and found it was for 66 and later and nowhere near close. At least an inch total to narrow.

That is correct. Although they look similar, the width is different overall and on the mounting locations.

Yeah you have to get the right one for the year of the car. I bought a new one.
