I am shopping for a driveshaft for my '68, I have found one out of a '72 and just wanted to make sure it will fit. The trans I'm using is a Richmond 6 speed so I have to change the front yoke anyways, but would the length and the rear yoke be the same?

Thanks,
Darrell

I think it depends on the rear end you are using also. The yoke length is different from the 8.2 and 12 bolt from what I understand. I'm sure someone with the exact length will know. Welcome to the sire by the way, lots of 68 owners here, and we can always use another one.

If you have an 8.2 rear the driveshaft from the 72 should have been bolted to an 8.5 rear. If I'm not mistaken the 8.5 is longer than the 8.2. About 15years ago I had my first Nova. It was a 71. It had an 8.2. I got a 8.5 from a 73 and the driveshaft from my 71 was to long. Got it cut and all was well. Later.
