As a proud owner of a 1976 Chevy Nova and of a collection of 1:18 Die Cast Cars I have to ask why these generation never receive the recognition to make those models,by the toys magnates.

There are NASCAR die cast collectables of 4th gen Novas, Omegas, Venturas & Skylarks. 4th generation Novas & their cousins were almost exclusively used for NASCAR Sportsman (later to become Busch series) back in the 80's and are available as die cast stock cars. Did a quick search and some are avaiable at this link...

:cool:Yes it's pretty cool seeing nothing but 4 gens out on the race track! I would think you could find more links with 4th gen die cast stock cars by doing a search for die cast of any of the drivers' names shown there with the 4th gens on that link. It seems that most of them ran the Omegas, Venturas and Skylarks but some also ran Novas back in those days.

The Wrangler Pontiac is now the Goodwrench Nova a lot of these pics are on genefeltonrestorations.com. I have met Gene personally and he owns the Goodwrench Nova as well as another Nova racer. He was even in the Kelly Girl Challenge Series.

That's interesting. I'll have to check out his site.

has anyone else noticed the current body shape is a close resemblance to the 4th gens? The new nose and windshield more of a slope, but from the front fenders back very similar.

How about a Pontiac :D

So, your a Pontiac Ventura fan? Or maybe just a Dale Earnhardt fan :)

Actually I was never a Rusty fan but my favorite 4th gen car is the 75 Omega  We had one. It was a dark brown metallic 2 dr. with white buckets and rally wheels. Cool looking car. Had to trade it in on a Plymouth Volare wagon back in 85  When I find a picture of it I'll post it sometime.

Philip, which current body shape are you referring to?

Both, I like all the 4th gens with the Ventura being top of the list.
I also like them all but in general, I like the Omegas, Skylarks, Novas and Venturas, Phoenix...in that order. The Phoenix seems to have a little longer nose up front than the others... I got mine because I got a great deal on it but it has certainly grown on me. :)
