Who has install 1 1/2 dropped front springs on a 3rd gen? Any issues or ground clearance problems?

I have the Hotchkis springs with a 1.5 inch drop and I have no issues with a 25.3" tire. It will put the top of the tire at the bottome of the fender.

Thats good to know, I want to install a new set of springs with the new tubular control arms but, I wanted to make sure lowering it the 1 1/2 inches was not going to cause any issues on the road.

Now, another question...

changing over to the drop springs, does it cause any issues with changing the geometry of the suspension? Or would it be better to use the dropped spindles?

I would see how far your springs would travel. Then add 2 inches and start measuring clearance of the tire and fender, including when it was turning.

I installed the hotchkis setup back in august with the speed tech tubular control arms. I had a small issue with my aftermarket oil pans bolt hitting on severe dips or on high speed bumps. No problems with turning, no loss in turning radius, improved corning speed, and better ride than i had before the install. Here a Link to pics During and after install. My 74 nova
