where is the best place to find used rear and parts?

Wrecking yard? 72 - 79 8.5" 10 bolt axles will work if your car still has the original rear end.

May I ask why you need a new one? is this because of the axle bearing?

I was going to say you can get a special axle bearing that is offset if you have a worn spot where the axle goes or at least for some models you can.

Possibly even a c-clip eliminator kit?

for some reason the axle flange is bent... The old lady must have hit something. the rim lookis okay but I will need a axle for sure

It appears that an axle from an 8.2" 10 bolt will also fit. So besides 68 - 79 Nova and 1st gen Camaro, the axle from a 65 - 67 Chevelle will fit.
