Hello,

I’m looking to purchase wheels & tires for my ‘67...would the following wheel & tire sizes fit without having to alter my chassis, body ?
Wheel size is 15x8
Frt tire size is 205x60x15
Rear tire size is 215x70x15

Also what is the widest wheel & tire size I can install without

Thanks in advance
Dave

it all depends on the back space of those wheels. tire sizes you listed should be good. also do you have drums in front or disks ? this is what i have on a 66 with disk/drums. the disks pushed out my mounting so i have 14 x 6 with a BS of 4 3/8'' with a 205 70. can turn lock to lock an no rub. back is 15 x 7 with a 4 1/8'' BS with a 235 60. there is 3/8'' clearance on inner fender lip.

Thank You... yes I need to get the backspace dimensions. I also have disks up front & drum on the rear. So if the BS of the wheels are at a min like yours, then they should work on my car without any alterations?

all i can say is the sizes i listed is what works okay on my 66 with stock front an rear with no alterations. i'm not sure if there is a difference in a drum wheel an a disk wheel. i'm thinking my front rallys came from a 69 camero with disk brakes. the rallys code is YW

I've been trying to decide on the tire/wheel combo for my 66.
I've spent a considerable amount of time searching through the tire/wheel section on SNS. There's every single bit of info that a guy would ever need. In fact, there's almost too much info. Lol

Good luck, I still haven't made a final decision.

On my 64 I have 15x8 w/5.25” backspace. I don’t believe that will work up front with stock front suspension. Steering arms and tie rod ends will likely run interference with the wheels.
