I'm still laughing about your comback to the guy who said you should fix the rust and not worry where your fuel pump was. I know he didn't mean anything by his comment but your reply was a zinger.

I like the new look. Do the hood scoops actually function?

hood pic

the scoops are dual perpose, they let heat out big time plus i put my hands in the holes to lift the hood off by myself. next year the nova will get new paint, and i'm thinking i like the american hoppster wheels.

Did you replace the wheel opening with the same thing? Is it just me or does the after picture look like the wheel opening is higher? Or is the car sitting higher in the back. Either way I like the after.

the lips are from a pair of 70-72 fenders i found in the garbage while going to work one morning, so on the drivers side you are looking at a passenger fender opening , the openings are mirrored, doing that fixed the rust and gave me 2" of more height, the car is not raised in the back.

What made you raise the lip? I like the Tucked look myself but you did a good job of moving it...
I raised the lip for a few reasons, first im on a buget so using a pair of free junk fenders worked, just had to buy a $100 mig to do the work. Second, tired of tire rub issues, this fixed that now i can lower it. Third, the old sheet metal was rotten and i was up for a challenge, i had nothing to lose. thanks for the comment and heres a new pic.
