So my car has been acting up lately and I figured the plugs were just fouled again, but oddly enough, they look "good" according to some plug reading sites/books. The thing that's confusing me is, the ground strap is yellow...never seen that before???

Any ideas on what that means? Can't seem to find any yellow plugs like that in the books/sites.

I think what you are seeing is from a fuel additive. Are you adding any octane boosters to your fuel? If not try a few tanks of some other brand of fuel and check them again. Different companies add different additive packages.

Nope, no additives. I did switch to Shell gas, though. Maybe their "super high quality" gas is the cause? I was just curious. Luckily it's not bad.

Nah, its just the combustion reaction residue to one of the additives Shell uses.

That's gotta be it! I took off the air filter cuz it was so dirty, and I swear I got 10 more horsepower so I just left it off!!
