What is the difference between a close ratio steering box and a regular one? Jegs has some headers that won't clear the close ratio.....

On first gen camaros there is 2 different lengths of pitman arms one is for the quick ratio steering and the other for stock. 3rd Gen Novas are probably the same. It could also be that the steering box is larger.I believe the quick ratio arm is about a half inch longer.
