I was finishing up removing the front end off of my car today and noticed a tube that goes under the car, it didn't have anything attached to it so I'm not sure what it is. This is what I'm talking about;

My guess would be emissions related.did it have a carbon canister under the hood?

That's a fuel tank vent. The car would of originally had a charcoal canister in the left front corner of the car. This line would of connected to it.

X2! my Chevelle has a similar hose and I was going crazy trying to find out what it was. If you follow it, you will find that it goes to the gas tank. :yes::yes:

Yeah, tank vent. If yer gonna keep it there not a bad idea to either put a charcoal canister or filter on it. Keep "stuff" outta it. Or you could light it and have a lil pilot light for emergencies :) JR
