I am trying to estimate the front end weight of my 78 to help calculate front spring size for drag racing. Unfortunately I didn't weigh it before taking it apart. I have a sbc, deleted air and power steering. No fender wells, stock suspension (for now). Battery still up front, aluminum manifold. heater core, fans and wipers removed. Driver is 200lbs. How to make an educated guess on weight?

Every car is different and your car has been altered.

Don't guess, get it weighed.

Doing it any other way will cost you more money and time in the long run.

Agree. If you know any circle track guys, they may have a portable scale you can borrow ...

but just for ballpark, I'll throw out some #s.... my car was about 54/46% front to rear on weight distribution, total with me in it ~3,300. Pretty much stock in the front. Steel bumpers/hood, but rear battery and 5 gal fuel cell.
