I wasn't expecting much from a 10 bolt open diff with 3.08's, especially when it's turning 225 R14's street tires. :sleep: I was kinda suprised with a 13.6 @ 102. I know its not even close to kinda fast, but it was enough to get me hooked. WooHoo! I'm looking forward to mini tubs, 12 bolt and some real tires! :D

that's actually really good with that rear end and tire combo!!!! :yes: were you getting good traction out of the hole? what were your 60' times?
i remember back in the day, BEFORE my posi and stickier tires, i was running 14-15 seconds with a mild 350. and i think your 102mph trap speed means theres more in it... go have fun and good luck!

X2 here. That's how it alway's starts, trust me I shoud know. My first pass was a 12.01 in the Nova that ALCON is dropping that LS1 in to. Now look at me I am fixing to drop a motor in my wagon that should put me the high 8's to low 9's. Like Johnh said it's a drug habbit that is real hard to quit.

I nocked off 3 sec. when I installed my minni-tubbed dana set up with 4.56 gears.:yes: The original single side slide would just roast the pizza cutter on the right rear.:D

It spun a little out the hole but i really just eased into it. 2.193 60' :sleep:

It also smoked the tires at every shift.

IM HOOKED!!!

Thanks. I think 102 should equal around 13.2 et, but I know your right with some traction I'll be in the 12s in no time!
Just go ahead and save for the Cal trac stuff, even if it is over kill now, because now you have been bitten, and you are going to need them down the road. You are going to GREAT for this economy, we need more people to get the bug like you.

I'm going to go racing for the first time this weekend. Nervous and excited at the same time. Theoretically my car should go lowish 10's (10.00 - 10.20). Not sure of the drivetrain losses (T56, Fab9 5.13's). I'm hoping to get mid 10's.

What kind of HP#'s does your motor make?

4-link, double adjustable coilovers, 315 MT DR's, single adjust front coilovers, 3250 LBS. T56 Face Plated, good to 700/700 RWP. Cluthless shifting at the rev limiter (7500-8000).
