I got my first dealership gig in 1978 and your car was at or near the height of emission controls for carbureted engines. What a nightmare that was. You have 1 EGR valve bolted to the intake manifold. The other one is a vacuum servo or something similar. There were so many systems integrated back then that I can’t recall what that one did but they were all vacuum/thermal/mechanical as your photo will attest. The computer landed in the car in 1981 but most of that stuff stayed anyway.

You should be able to find a copy of the emission vacuum hose routing and follow it to properly connect everything. That just means you will find out what doesn’t work. It didn’t work worth a crap when it was new under warranty so you should have some fun in front of you.

The fuel line looks like the factory routing. At some point, someone tried to take the line loose without holding the large filter nut on the carburetor while they turned the tube nut. The filter nut broke loose first and they twisted the fuel line.

id just take the red hose off and cap it behind the carb, there is also an unused open vacuum barb behind the carb next to the dist. The trans modulator is connected to the top of it but the side is unplugged, id put a cap on that as well.
If it were me, I'd take the intake manifold and everything above it, and drop it in a dumpster. Stick a Performer manifold and a carb of your choice in it's place and enjoy.

Rick that open port was the first thing I saw also. I don't know what the laws are in your state. But where I live if you have it tagged Historic you have no inspection or emissions. I had a pick up truck that was non catalyst and it had a vacuum pump and plastic vacuum lines everywhere. Well if you were to look at those vacuum lines funny they would crack and god for bid you touched one. I pulled all the lines out pulled the pump out and plugged off all the ports. Gave the truck a good tune up and rebuilt the carb. And the five years i had the truck (then sold it) I went right through our state emissions test with very good numbers, with numbers way below the max and way above the min. So if you do not have the money for a intake and carb right now and do not have to go through emissions I'd say yank and cap what you don't need. Keep the EGR and pcv in play.
