Just wanted to post my 1965 nova weight as I was really curious what it weighed with hardly anything done.
First off it's pretty much how I bought it. So it's full interior with bucket seats and I added a 66 nova center console and b&m shifter that added roughly 14lbs. Weld Prostars 15x3.5 and 15x7s
No spare or jack
Manual brakes w/ 4 wheel drums
Manual steering
Small block with iron heads and aluminum intake
Copper/brass radiator
Th350 trans
Big 10 bolt 8.5 rearend
Southside machine traction bars
Mono leaf rear springs
Nothing taken off the car, all steel and glass

Weight was with 3/4 tank of gas and no driver

Just to add, I think your car looks just how I like a street/strip car to look and very tidy. Can you tell me more about the engine please.

Mine has got a glass hood and spool, so possibly lighter than yours but it also has chassis connectors. I intend to change the spool for an LSD.

Engine is a 283 bored with forged pistons, has stock iron heads, and a 234/244 cam. Performer intake and a vaccum sec holley. Nothing special. In a few months I'm pulling the engine and trans, radiator, headers and selling it all as I'm building a ls2/4l60e swap.
Plan on running deep in the 10s with 235s and AC.

The weight sounds about right for how it's equipped. I'm interested in how a similar first generation Nova tips the scales with an LS. Getting lighter in the front is helping with the weight bias and, I can't see the car being 50/50 ever, they'd be a better handler theoretically the closer one got.
