Hello, everyone, I am installing door-mounted speakers in my 1965 Chevy II 4-door sedan and I was wondering if the part of the speakers that go inside the doors would need anything to protect them from possible water damage, because the car is not garage kept and it will be a daily driver. Thanks!! :)

It wouldn't hurt to add them. I order ones from Aamp of America and they are the XTC brand. They come in pairs and different sizes.

Basically they are formed foam cups/bowls with a lip on the front edge that you can either attach to the door with spray glue or use the mounting screws when the speaker is installed.

For wire runs, put a slit in the bottom edge and then maybe add a little silicone caulk over the hole.
