Just a couple more questions. I will have about 9.75:1 compression with my Vortec heads & I was wondering what would be a good recommendation for spark plugs? Also, does anyone know what to torque the intake bolts to with an Edelbrock intake to cast iron heads with the Felpro 1255 intake gasket?

I torque mine to 15ft/lbs. I've run AC Delco R44LTS, R45LTS6 and AR473. The AR473 are Autolite race plugs and I run these when I use the nitrous. I'd recommend the R44LTS plugs for you, good overall plug for street/strip.

If you want to find another plug, you need 14mm, .708" reach with a tapered seat.

I run an NGK V-groove. Number on it says "TR4" Can't find a catalog number, but I find them at my local chain auto parts store. Sorry Dave, I could not find the box number on those. Dale

Thanks for the info. What would you recommend for a gap? I have a Mallory Unilite & I was considering around .040 gap.

I run mine at .035, which I think is the OEM plug gap. I'm running an MSD and have no problems getting these things to fire and burn correctly at that setting.
