Doing some preliminary research on adding VA Gen IV system to my 66. Can anyone tell me what the interior dimensions of the replacement glove box are? My stereo receiver is currently located in the glove box. I am sure i will have to either relocate it or replace it with a smaller unit so just trying to get an idea of what path i would need to travel on this one.

Thanks for replying Canso. After reading my post, probably wasn't clear. I am looking to install a Vintage Air Gen IV system on my car. The evaporator is quite large so VA provides a replacement glove box interior which is quite abit small than original. I am trying to figure out the dimesions of the replacement unit to see if my receiver unit will work or what i may need to do to account for the smaller glove box.
I one that I can measure tonight if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Measuring from the bottom lip where it hinges is 3'' deep towards the firewall.

Thanks Nova66. Would you happen to have an idea if there is any space between the condenser and the back of the glove box liner? Hoping for maybe a couple inches of space for cabling out of back of receiver
Not much room at the lower portion, 1 inch or so. If you can come out at the upper back of compartment, there's more room.

That may work. Thanks for the help
Don't forget the #10 A/C line connects to top right side of condenser and there is also a bracket from condenser to underside of dash between pocket liner and condenser. Not much room at all.

Adding to reduced room, the condenser needs to be as far to the passenger side as possible to clear wiper rods.

I've sold/installed quite a few of the VA systems. I had my stereo in the glovebox of my 65. There will not be enough room for the stereo after the VA installation. VA glovebox insert is approximately 1/2 the depth of stock.
