Howdy,
I'm finally getting around to installing the Vintage Air EVO (Gen II) I purchased from NNN about 6 years ago. It is model 66000-MUZ and I've got the horizontal control panel with the cable temperature control. In the kit are the manual heater control valve (using the cable) and a vacuum heater control valve.

My question is do I use both control valves, manual and vacuum? If so, do they both go in the same heater line from the intake manifold?

Just seems like overkill to have both, but the wiring from the control panel has the vacuum line for the vacuum valve and the cable for the manual valve.

Thanks in advance for any help!

No, you will use the cable heater valve only - delete the vacuum valve and the vacuum hose that goes to it, but still connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum motor that moves the dash/floor door to direct the air to the floor.

coolair,
Thanks for the reply. Sure wish I would have waited and gotten a Gen IV.

I'll install the cable operated valve in the top heater core line and make that the "in" line from the intake manifold.

Cheers,
Joe
