I am finishing up my vent window rebuild. The rubber vent window stop has a hole for a screw. What does that screw into? With the stop installed without the screw in yet, there seems to be just a little play at the top.
does anyone have a good picture of that area?
Thanks

I have a two door post and it is a bit different but mine had a little tab at the top where a small phillips screw goes to secure the two pieces.

I know the hole you are referring to, I will have to look at mine .That might be for a rivet ? to the window channel ?

After looking at Rebob's picture I can now see that the coupe is different than a post car I only have one screw that secures that area.

The screw holds the heavy chrome piece to the vent window frame. The rivet holds the stop to the heavy chrome piece. Do not use a pop rivet, it will stick down too far. Chevy 2 only sells the correct rivet.

One more thing to look at. Match your old piece to the new one, you might have to trim some extra rubber off so it will fit.
