Been in the process of sprucing up a 63 4dr w an inline 6 since December and haven't cranked it since. Its starting to come together and I want to make sure Im putting things back in the right order and properly since this is the first car Ive worked on. I am at the point of doing a valve lash adjustment and the shop manual and chilton manual aren't too clear on what to do if its a replaced head. The instructions say to adjust while the engine is warm but that wont work in my case. Whats the best way to handle this?
Here is a list of what ive been doing to this car
