when you mini tubbed your wagon ,what mods did you do to the second seat to make it fit?i want to keep the seat but it looks like it will need to be narrowed.any pics?i havent heard this discussed here before

I havent gotten started on mine yet but have already thought about chopping the seat down and narrowing the cover. Not sure if luck would have the width reduction to be the same as the center pleat in the cover or not.

When our shop did John Cunningham's Wagon, we took a Kirkey Alum. race seat and made a bench seat out of it by streatching it!

I know it's not a wagon, but you could always go this route.

Yea I was considering doing that myself after seeing John's wagon.

Good idea.. I was talking to Jason D.(you probably know him) about this, and he thinks it would be pretty easy to make cut the factory seat down and narrow it, but I don't know..

rear tub seat mods

I have a 64 wagon and put the Detroit speed tubs in, They have a project car with pics on how they did it. Look under Bridgets wagon basically cut out the difference and welded back in. I have not gotten to that point but close!!

dealing with this now. I trimmed a 1 1/2 off each side of the flat panel so that it fits between the tubs. I did not cut the seat. then I had to take a hammer and dent the bottom of the tubs so that the seat bars can fold around. I still have room for the tire on the inside, I may heat it a bit and massage it . if its ugly I will cut it out and make the indent. I will move the latch back into position on the tub when im finished. it is tight .

split the back of the seat down the middle cut out a(i think a four inch piece) and welded it back up
