Has anybody else ran into a problem installing a TCI trans pan (p# 228000)? The pan seems to be hitting the Filter preventing the bolt holes on the pan and trans to line up. Anyone have a clue what to due or what I am doing wrong?

Did you buy the pan new or used? Most pans (or at least mine did) come with a different filter mount.

Bought it new. Tried the new mount (extension tube) and the old mount and still had the problem.

I had the same problem with a steel bm trans pan. Went to a deep aluminum and no problems.

One problem I ran into with installing the deep cast alum. pan was I had to actually cut the front lip off of the transmission cross member in order for it to even fit. That's not your problem?

Never had a problem with the filter hitting the pan.

Yea I had to trim the lip of the crossmember,next service im going to cut and box the crossmember for more clearance.

Well after looking at what was happening I carefully bent the extension tube a little more than the way it came and everything seems to be fine now.
