I will be installing a summit deep trans pan on my 64.
Has anyone had any ground clearance issues with extra capacity pans?

My B&M pan sits lower than my rear sump oil pan. When all is said & done, at approx. stock height, I have just about 6" of ground clearance between the trans pan and the ground. If your car is lower than stock, a deep trans pan could be trouble.

hi floaterboy, i also have a b+m deep pan on my 66.i have a b+m 700r4 and the pan doesn't hang lower than the hooker s/c headers. i think you will be ok as long as your car isn't lowered too much.here's a photo

I have an extra capacity trans pan and oil pan and I honestly have approx 4 inches of clearance under the car. I sits alot lower than I would like but have had no problems at all whatsoever with it bottoming.
