My '72 has the skinny tires on the front, not sure I'm crazy about how it drives, What size tires and wheels do you guys run, I'm putting down VERY decent HP, with HOLLEY QFT 750 Double Pump SSR series near as I can tell. Aluminum heads, still trying to figure out exactly what's in the motor. But it's got a healthy cam, for sure. I wouldn't be afraid to guess it at 400+ HP,,




I'd be interested in knowing what size you guys are running, and I'll likely change to Cragar SS wheels, I'm just an old guy who is from that era, and feel THOSE wheels belong on a car like this! LOL.

Well on my 72 now I am running 265/45/17 out back and 245/45/17 up front with a 17by7 rims although I haven’t got to take it on the road yet but all tires fit nicely with no rubbing issues and I agree not sure I’d like the ride with the skinnies although prob better for the strip ?

I'm sure they are better for the strip if you're looking for every thousandth of a second you can find, lol,, Thanks,,

I'm about 450hp with a BB and run 255 60 15 and 165 80 15 up front, both are on steel wheels with dog dish caps. I like the look of the skinnies up front for the drag car look, plus my car with the BB isn't really an ideal setup to carve up corners. They do need more care during hard braking and wet weather driving.
