Well as i pulled apart the 383 today i found the culprit of the low oil pressure, a spun main bearing. So ive been doing some thinking and seem to like the idea of either a 427 or 434 stroker. I have canfield 220cc heads that have been ported that i think would go real nice with either a 434 or 427. I found this short block and was wondering what everyone thought. link

yea they do have the sportman M blocks but its like another thousand. The car is mostly gonna be street driven but i will definitely take it to the track a few times. Im looking to build a nasty pump gas small block. so ill get a custom ground cam that will create some wild torque numbers.
