ok. this is kind of dumb but the carb on my car looks bad. its a 1406 and it looks bad. performs good for what it is. i ended up taking the choke off because of having a lot of problems with it. i wanna put another choke back on it but was looking at either a 650 endurashine edelbrock or a 650 vac secondary holley part number 80783C on summit. i figured a double pumper may not work as good for my car but let me know what you all think.
car info. 1969 nova with a 385 stroker eagle rotating assy. with 9.8:1 compression. rhs vortec style heads that are ported. edelbrock rpm air gap manifold. dui distributor. 1 5/8 headers and 2.5 inch exhaust. the cam is a comp cams part number:12-239-3. the specs are:
Operating Range: 1300-5600 RPM
Duration Advertised: 262° Intake / 270° Exhaust
Duration @ .050'' Lift: 218° Intake / 226° Exhaust
Valve Lift w/1.5 Rockers: .462'' Intake / .480'' Exhaust
Lobe Separation Angle: 111°
it is going to a muncie m21 4 speed, to a ten bolt 8.5 with a locker and 3.42 rear gears.
