'69 Camaro will work. I did one in my '70 model. Rick's first gen sells re-conditioned originals for about $300 with turn signal switch and all. I did it when I installed the roll bar in my car, and probably the best $300 I spent!

Thanks guys, I think a cage is going to be better with the tilt unit.I have one from a 76 or so Trans Am. It's been a long time since i did the swap but it's basically a bolt in. I think you have to change the mounting plate at the firewall, use a different rag joint or go with a solid u-joint that matches the splines of the column and the box and you have to mess with the turn signal wiring.

is it me or does that column look too long. I think that only a 69 camaro is the right length for your car. others will bolt in no prob but I think they are the wrong length. you might wanta ask this qustion on the camaro site. those guys are very helpful too.
