Still the stock cable that used to be attached to the 230" 6 cylinder that came in the car.
I have a Lokar style I'm going to try while I have the front clip off the car--the other one has had a hose clamp holding it to the pedal assembly for about 15 years!
Here's the poor limp little cable still dangling from the firewall--impressive huh!
Lokar cable conversion. Seems to work better with tall valve covers if you use a little longer cable length due to the engine being so close to the firewall on 62-67. If you use a shorter cable and try to keep it behind the valve cover it gets a little sticky but if you keep it long and go around its very smooth. I have been very happy with it. I have used this set up on many cars.
