Attached is a pic of the motor mount holes being used for our V8 taking the place of a 6, (picture was taken before restoration) it's showing the holes that line up with our motor mount bracket, I'm bother that only three bolts hold it on. Should I weld another bracket to the frame to support the 4th bolt or is this a standard occurance.

That's all you need; hell, mine only has 2 since 1 fell out!
It looks like the engineers were on vacation during this design--a lot of the mount is out in space!

3 is enough.....i made the same change and have had it that whay since ive been 18...and i have upgraded to an engine with lots of kick and its fine...:yes::yes::yes::yes:

Which style of motor mount are you using? If you go to the late style (73 and later) clam shell mounts, you will reuse your three holes. If you go with the old style like Bowtie pictuure's you will need to cut off the frame extension. All of the holes are there for either style.
