Hello I am new to the site. I am sure this Question has been beaten to death but I am in need of a front clip due to a ball joint letting go and having a curb take out my stock clip on my 1966 nova. It seems like the Chassis works is pretty nice but It looks like you get a better deal with the TCI custom chrome front end. I guess my real question is what clip is the best for street and strip but more for the street and how are the headers from cw and tci. I don't mind spending a litte extra for the better clip. I spoke to all three company's and they are all nice over the phone and tell me their clip is better than the next. So I guess the people who bought them should know best. Thanks let me know what you guys think.

Ed... I am located in NJ and have two options for you.
If you want a stock clip... I have one that is about to be removed from a solid 67 soon as we are putting a Chassisworks clip on.
If you want a Chassisworks clip, I have one here you can look at first hand and since I am a Chris Alston Chassisworks dealer, I can hook you up with one of those too. Feel free to PM me or call me.

I don't want to put a stock front end back on because the suspension sucks and I like the extra room that you get from the aftermarket clip. I would like to see the chassis works in person. I am about 10 min from E-town.

Stock suspension does suck. Its a +40 year old technology that Chevy got rid of in '68.

Try to look at the 3 major front clips out there. Talk to the guys that have them on their cars. "Cruise ins", car shows, etc. are a great place.

And BTW, my CW front clip bolted on beautifully.

I really agree with that statement. There are a lot of members that have opinions but have never ran an aftermarket front end.
I would take it a step further and say go for a ride in different Nova's that has each of the front ends on them.
I did this at the Nat's several years ago to help me make my decisions, couldn't tell much difference in the ride providing they were setup correctly.

plus 2 on that.......we've installed TCI clips on 2 cars and a Chassiswork on a 3rd........ride quality over the stocker is considerably better......take one for a ride and see for yourself.

Chevy 2 63's...
Anythings possible. I used a stock "clip" in my 9 second 67. It had a 510ci BBC. It took alot of fabrication to reinforce it but in the end it was stock appearing. Everyone who saw it said that putting a BBC in a stock clip a)wouldnt fit -or- b) would last long. I think I proved both wrong LOL.

I think I am narrowed down to either TCI or CW. The E-Town swap meet / car show is this weekend and I will try to compare the two. It seems like from what I've been reading is the CW clip is built better and comes with nicer hardware. But I haven't been able to find too much on the TCI clips.

My personal order for the coil-over kits would be ranked as follows: CW, Heidt's, TCI. I'd put the Heidt's over the TCI due to the design of the method of camber adjustment. If going with the MII style clip, then the Heidt's and TCI are probably about equal.
