Has anyone used these before in a first gen?

I'm trying to get all the i's crossed and t's dotted before putting the front sheet metal back on my car and one of the outstanding issues is that I can only get in the top two bolts of the included Energy Suspension mounts, the bottom whole is slightly forward (3/16 maybe) of the boss in the block, the adapter plates are fine, but the generic mounts are wrong...

Everything else seems to fit great so I'm not sure... I've started to oval the mounts but I'm not sure thats the wisest way forward.

On my TCI MII clip LS1 I used Transdep 1" setback plates with SBC short wide motor mounts. I ended up dropping the motor in with the plates and mounts a little loose so I could move them around. Once they lined up tightened everything the best I could. Lifted/pulled the motor back out. Marked the position of the mounts on the plates. Removed the motor mounts tightened the hidden bolts reinstalled the mounts and dropped it in.

Good luck with your project and post some pics.
