curiosity has got the best of me, a while back tci released that 4l80 based 6 speed.has anyone used the gm 4l80 or tci unit in a first/second gens. what if any or i should say how much modification have you ran into. at the pri show last december one of the reps told me that they can build these to withstand upwards of 1400 hp

The ones i have seen advertised are good up to 850 h.p.
7000.00 and the you need the converter. little pricey IMO.

id have to agree with you on price its up there ,this is there new upper range in hp levels as per sales tech.

I personally wouldn't touch anything done by TCI. :no:

But any 4L80e will require considerable floor/trans tunnel modifications. :yes:
